Mechelen is only 20 minutes away by train from Brussels. The charming town is an ideal location for a wonderful day out and about. Mechelen might be lesser known than other Flemish cities, it is still considered UNESCO world heritage and has more listed monuments than Bruges. An ideal destination for a romantic weekend.
