Yes, you can and are allowed to recharge your electric cambio car while you’re on the road. This is also possible at a fast-charging station (please note: not with all e-models). Some extra planning is recommended.

When reserving an e-cambio, you must enter your estimated number of kilometres or the expected driving range before you can click “reserve”. We ask for the estimated number of kilometres to be driven during the reservation in order to make sure that the battery will be sufficiently charged for your trip. If you estimate this correctly, you will never run into problems.

If you end up driving more kilometres than planned, that’s certainly not an issue. You will simply need to recharge along the way. This can of course be done free of charge using the charging card located in the car, at all public charging stations (an overview can be found here), including fast chargers (please note: not with all e-models). For example, if your estimate is 50 km but you end up driving 100 km during your reservation, you will need to recharge. This ensures that the next user is not inconvenienced.

With this handy tool, you can plan even better exactly when you will need to recharge during a longer trip. Enjoy your e-cambio experience!
